Following an initial Bespoke Wedding Ring Design consultation, where we’ll discuss your ideas, hopes and expectations for your wedding rings, our Master Jewellery Designers, Chris or Sam Wharton, will create a series of rough sketches to inform the next steps in the design process.
These sketches will be refined into more detailed, accurate drawings that factor in design aspects, such as the dimensions, stone shape and size, and setting type. Finally, we’ll use Computer Aided Design to ensure your wedding ring designs come to life as perfectly as possible.
Once you’re happy with every aspect of the design, a wax prototype will be created so you can get a proper feel for your wedding ring and we can further adjust and modify the look in 3D form.
Once the prototype has passed our strict quality guidelines, your unique wedding ring design will be brought to life in your chosen material, the stones will be set, and the final piece polished.

Your Bespoke Wedding Ring Design Consultation
Explore your options and discover different styles, materials and ideas with our expert help at our St Albans showroom and workshop. Feel free to bring along your own inspirational jewellery, pictures or sketches, and we’ll show you examples of our designs and stones. We’d love to hear your story to give us inspiration for your wedding ring designs and ensure it’s a personalised celebration of your love.
At this stage, we’ll also agree on the materials, concept and budget so we can create a brief that you’re happy with and ensure we fully understand what you want from your bespoke wedding ring.
Once agreed, it’s time to put down a deposit (usually £100) to cover the cost and time involved in the next step — the Design Process. Your deposit is taken off the total final cost of your bespoke wedding ring should you choose to go ahead with us.
Can’t make it to our showroom? Don’t worry. You can have your Bespoke Wedding Ring Design Consultation via a video call.

The Design Process
Our Master Jewellery Designers, Chris and Sam Wharton will create a preliminary sketch, incorporating your input from your Bespoke Wedding Ring Design Consultation, your personal preferences, and of course, your budget. This will be created using Computer Aided Design (CAD) so that we can email you the design along with a quote.
Once you’ve had a look, it’s time to tell us what you think so we can agree on any refinements that are needed. After you’re happy with your wedding ring design, we’ll move on to the final stage of the design process — creating the wax model from the CAD design.
At this stage, we’ll also confirm the total cost of creating your bespoke wedding ring and ask you for a further downpayment to start work on the actual piece.

The Creation Process
Depending on what materials and gemstones you have selected for your wedding ring, we will either select materials from our stocks or, if required, go and source the materials specifically for your piece. Our master craftsmen will then make your wedding ring design a reality in our St Albans workshop.

The Finished Wedding Ring
You can collect your bespoke wedding ring in-store and celebrate with a glass of complimentary Champagne, or we can send you your bespoke wedding ring, beautifully gift-wrapped, in the post.
